I just jailbroke my ipod but i have no wifi access to download apps with cydia. One solution that i think may work is adding apps into a custom firmware with xpwn or a program like it. If this is possible with xpwn and you know how to do it then plz share lol.

use total commander ( look on youtube for guides) or you could just put the apps u want in the app folder as a .tar if u know what your doing and than recreate your custom firmware. again every time u want new apps or use total commander. I would personally get a cheap router if you have internet access. unless u know alot about apps and what to name folders and crap like that.

I have a 8×10 wall that I would like to put my custom wallpaper on from a digital picture. I have seen some places online that will do it but they want almost $700 to make the wallpaper. Does anyone know where I can get something like this printed for around $2-500? Thanks!

First of all.
U need ur version to be 1.50 (check under Settings> System Settings> System information)
If ur version is not 1.50 ur gonna need a pandora battery to downgrade to it. check ebay for pandora or youtube on how to make one.

If ur version is 1.50 all you need to do is go to the dark-alex.org website and download the Custom Firmware 5.00m33 which is about 180 kb. and the Official Firmware 5.00 which is about 23mb.

Rename the Official Firmware 5.00 to 500.pbp
place it in the UPDATE folder which should be the folder carrying the custom firmware.
THe update folder should contain. 500.pbp and the custom firmware 500m33. Place this UPDATE folder into the PSP’S memorystick.
MEMORYSTICK> PSP> GAME>
now.
turn ur crap psp on.
and go to the game column and click on the memory stick.
there should be a game called 5.00m33 update.
start it
follow instructions.
have battery at 78% and keep it charging.

I would like to make chocolates with a design on them, which would require a mold to make them in, but I can’t seem to find any place that makes custom molds for candy-making, because the top zillion results on a web search are the same old places selling heart and bunny and santa shapes molds. Does anyone know of a website or a brick-and-mortar store that will make a plastic mold for chocolate candies? I’m not looking for commercial uses, so preferably something not outrageously priced…. Thanks!

You’re best bet would probably be silicone molds, I think, rather than the clear plastic ones. You can make those yourself, or there are probably places that would make them for you.

I think that all 2-part silicone molding materials are rated "food safe," but you’d want to be sure before buying. (Many of the pre-made silicone molds are used for baking nowadays btw.)

These gel-like silicone molding materials come in two parts –one is usually white, and the other a color, so that it will be obvious when they’ve been totally mixed.
After kneading equal parts of the two colors together, you’ll simply press the putty onto something firm that you want to mold (which could be something you’ve made yourself from polymer clay and baked, possibly). Leave the putty in place while it cures (5-10 min usually).
(You might want to create a flat area on the back side of the mold while the putty is curing –or sit it on something flat during that time– so that each mold could sit alone and be level while the chocolate is setting later.)

When you remove the silicone mold from your form, you’ll have a flexible mold into which you can pour chocolate or press in some fondant, etc.. (if baking is necessary, the cured silicone mold can be easily baked with something in it, and requires no release since nothing much can stick to silicone). Also since the molds are silicone, they’re flexible which allows for some undercuts in the mold as well.

These silicone putties aren’t cheap but they’re not really expensive for what you want to do unless you want to make many-many-many different molds, or create them as mold trays, etc.

My prom has been coming up and I have a design that I want my dress to look like but I haven’t been able to find a person to make the dress for me at a reasonable price. (What is a person who makes custom dresses called, anyways? Custom dressmaker?) I live around the Los Angeles area and I don’t have any connections to people who know other people who design these sorts of clothes. How exactly can you find this sort of thing?

Go to a quality fabric store in your area. Look for somoene buying fabric who looks like they know what they are doing and ask them. I’m a fashion design student and have gotten job offers in fabric stores before. It isn’t that wierd. Don’t go somewhere like jo ann’s fabric and dont go to one for home decor
If you don’t see anyone who seems good in the store ask an employee if they know of anyone. I have a friend who works at a fabric store who makes proms dresses for people I’m sure she’s not alone in doing this.

I am buying a car. I want to custom paint it. Would it be easier to buy a white car, and then paint it.. Or would it work just as well if I bought a black one?

Like what is the minimum revenue of the company that would order it? Or what is the minimum number of employees the company ordering it will have? I understand that 1-person or even 5-person company would not order custom software to be written – so what are the minimum requirements to qualify those companies that would order?

There are no hard and fast criteria, Its will depend on exactly what the custom software is required for, what the cost saving will be by having it, and whether it is cost and time effective to have it produced.

Small companies, less than 50 may be 100 staff, probably do not have the revenue to buy in completely custom built software but may be able to afford to have a "macro" based customisation on top of an existing product i.e. Microsoft Excel/Word via Visual Basic macro’s as opposed to a completely new spreadsheet or word processor.

On the other hand if the developer sees a market for the product over and above a single company they may be willing to develop for a small company on the cheap and retain the right to sell it on their own.
