what colors to mix to produce purple paint for house interiors?

August 6, 2010 - 2:05 pm 2 Comments

i’m painting my daughters bedroom and she wants a lavender or purple paint. the walls are made of wood

You’d be far, far better off to buy ready-mixed purple paint at the hardware store or paint store. Mixing paint colours should be left to professionals. For one thing, it’ll be easier to match it if you need to repaint a wall or if you want to paint something else later. For another, mixing old paint is a really bad idea; you’ll get a clotted mess.

I own a pickup with a cap. Are there any websites that deal solely with converting the bed interiors?

I don’t want to do EXACTLY what some people do with their vans, but something in that direction. I seem to remember bed inserts that had preformed bed decks over the wheel wells.

The truck I have is a standard cab which can take 3 passengers, but I want to add a few seats in the bed where those extra passengers would be facing the rear or sideways.

Any sites would be great but I’m hoping to hit the bonanza with your help.

Thanks a lot in advance.

Try these sites and maybe it will help you.

What’s a good trap to set for someone who robs the interiors of cars? Something that will catch or hurt him?

Be creative. Whether it captures the crook or slices his finger off, whatever.

Did you ever see Robocop? There was a spoof ad for a car called the 6000SUX which had an anti intruder device that electrocuted the would-be thief.

I need a program that can show 3D models of interiors and exteriors of homes.?

August 5, 2010 - 4:47 pm 1 Comment

I want to be able to show potential home builders what their house will look like before it is built. If anyone can make a program that I would be able to input blueprints and various interior decor into and would put out a 3D image that would be great.

What products do garages use to clean car interiors to give it that ‘new car’ look and smell?

August 5, 2010 - 3:33 pm 4 Comments

Just bought a Nissan Note and it smells and looks great inside and out. I wanna keep it that way and need your help! Thanks!

The ‘new car’ smell is generally just the combined smells of new vinyl, carpeting, upholstery etc. – kind of like a ‘new shoe’ smell.

There are all kinds of cleaners/de-odorizers on the market, so just check around and find one that you like.

The most important thing for keeping a car smelling good is to keep it cleaned out – try to avoid eating or smoking in it (I don’t smoke, but strangely enough I let people smoke in my car – so long as they roll their window down).

Unless you can afford to take your car to a detail shop occasionally, you should probably get a caddy and fill it up with car cleaning products – a good car wash/wax, some spray wax (for the exterior), some tire shine, a few good clean cloths, maybe a shammy cloth – and then for the interior, get some upholstery cleaner, some windex, and some armor-all.

It is amazing how a quick cleaning/vacuuming and a little time polishing and wiping down can make a car look much better – and even though there is no actual basis for it – it always seems like a clean car runs/drives better.

Good luck!

How to get the vinegar smell out of leather car interiors?

August 5, 2010 - 3:33 pm 4 Comments

I had a glass bottle of vinegar in my car and it combusted recently this winter. that was about a month ago and my car still wreaks like vinegar, I have tried lysol, febreze, regular car cleaning products, and nothing is working help please!
I’ve also tried ozium and I ventilated it when I was driving one day.

You don’t have to try to get it out. Just ventilate the car. Keep the windows open and let wind pass over the area.

The smell of vinegar will dissipate after a few days. I have used gallons of vinegar sprayed in an attic to kill mold and it smelled like vinegar for a week or so and then gradually went away completely.

What would a fancy word for someone who washes/waxes and cleans the interiors of cars be?

I thought of Vehicle Cosmetologist but that’s an overstatement.
Then I thought of Vehicle Hygienist. Anyone have any better ideas?
I hear you Raven. Brought me back to reality lol

Professional Auto Detailer or Auto Detailer – don’t get too cute or you will sound idiotic.

how can i make my room very pleasent in terms of interiors?

my room is very simple by looks,i jus want to know what are the stuffs that`ll make my room look great n it shud also create an aura of peace..i don want my room to look posh but very simple and nice ! basically i like anythin to be colorful n so my room..what can i add up to my room?

Add a theme to it!

Important parts of designing, remodeling, styling are; concept, color, proportion, balance, and function of design.

Go for art deco… or Indian interiors, maybe Moroccan!??
I know each style might be different! Aim for an overall look and feel for your room where you can belong to!

Examine your room… its shape, space, colors, texture in it, and patterns!

I would personally choose something warm and cozy!

If you like Moroccan like me, mix between these colors.. Deep purple, coral red, orange, and Tiffany blue! I know this sounds bizarre! But its warm and edgy! WHICH I LOVE :)

You can paint ONE wall only in Tiffany blue color-like. Make your bed sheets deep purple, and throw in colorful pillows and throws. Have a wooden chair that is comfy in dark cherry brown…

Add in candles with sandalwood smell… Amazing!

Have in natural live to make your room alive… Flowers are live! You may also wanna buy bamboo sticks..

Basically! Mix n Match! That what I would do, you can have a modern look for your room with an edge! or go Art deco Moroccan!

I hope this helped!?

Good Luck ;-)
